Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2, 2026

The short version: during the current beta, your case data is stored only on your own device (in your browser's local storage). We do not have accounts, we do not run analytics or ads, and we cannot see your case information.

What we store, and where

Heresai currently works without an account. Everything you enter — case details, deadlines, journal notes, witnesses, timeline events, calendar entries, and checklist progress — is saved in your browser's local storage on your device. It is not transmitted to us or to any server.

This means: we can't read it, we can't recover it if you clear it, and it does not follow you to another device or browser.

What leaves your device

If accounts launch later

A future version may offer optional sign-in for cross-device sync, backed by encrypted cloud storage with strict per-user access controls. If that happens, this policy will be updated first, and local-only use will remain available. Nothing will be uploaded unless you create an account and sign in.

Deleting your data

You can erase everything Heresai has stored at any time using the “Clear all my data” control in the app, or by clearing this site's data in your browser settings. Deletion is immediate and permanent.

Safety notes for survivors

Children

Heresai is for adults navigating legal matters and is not directed to children under 18.
